Roush's 500 HP Ford Focus RS Turned Heads At SEMA

SEMA may be over for another year but in between all the one-off, custom builds was the Ford Focus RS from Roush Performance, celebrating its world debut at the event.

Roush's Focus RS consists of the most potent upgrades created for the popular hot hatch so far. Whereas the typical model pumps out 350 hp thanks to its 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, Roush has upped that figure to an impressive 500 hp, thanks largely to a new engine block from Ford Performance and a number of ECU modifications.

Other upgrades enjoyed by the Roush Focus RS are new slotted brake rotors, an enhanced cooling system, Roush's own 3-way adjustable suspension with camber plates, forged 19-inch wheels and a set of Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires.

In terms of visual changes, the car is adorned with a prominent front splitter, a custom rear wing, new diffuser, custom graphics, painted wing mirrors and air extractors embedded in the hood.

It is not yet known if Roush intends on offering all of these upgrades to customers.
