What Your Sleeping Position With a Partner Says About Your Relationship

When we go to sleep, our subconscious takes over. Surprisingly, people are extremely honest while sleeping and they cannot fake their body language. The sleeping positions of you and your partner can be quite accurate when it comes to describing what goes on in a relationship. In which one do you recognize yourself?

Sleeping on the opposite sides of the bed means partners need space in their relationship. However, if this happens occasionally, it may indicate they just need a good night’s sleep.

This position signifies the different needs of the partners. They both like different things from their relationship: the one lacks space and the other needs more intimacy.

If the woman sleeps on her partner’s shoulder, it means that she is dependent on him. If you are like this, you need to learn how to live without him and be more independent.

This position is also known as pillow talk because it expresses the good contact and conversation partners have.

This position includes the man laying on his back and the woman placing her head on his chest. It usually takes place when the relationship is fresh.

Partners are turned face to face and their legs are intertwined for a few minutes or until they fall asleep. This position shows that the couple is independent, intimate, and sexually active.

This position shows that the male partner needs love and care.

The female being in the spoon means that her partner loves and protects her.

When their backs are touching, the partners are comfortable, intimate and relaxed in their relationship.

When partners’ backs are not touching, it means that there is love and connection in the relationship, but they are independent too.

BMW To Start 8-Series Production In 2018

BMW has confirmed that it will commence production of the long-awaited 8-Series at its factory in Dingolfing, Germany in 2018.

The new-generation 8-Series was previewed in concept form earlier this year and will initially hit the U.S. and European markets as a coupe next year. Once production and deliveries of the hardtop have ramped up, the German automaker will look to bring an 8-Series Convertible to the market in 2019, reports Auto News.

When it reaches the road, the BMW 8-Series will compete directly against the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe and Cabriolet models and therefore fill a void in the brand’s line-up that’s existed for the last few years.

Like its four-door 7-Series sibling, the 8-Series will be offered in a range of specifications and with numerous different engines. Among the most likely engines to be sold will be a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder and the M760Li xDrive’s twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V12. Additionally, we know that the M8 will share largely the same 600 hp, 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 as the all-new M5.

BMW has yet to say when we will see the 8-Series revealed in its completed form but we’re tipping a launch at March’s Geneva Motor Show.

Google Finance as you know it is going away — here is what will remain

Portfolio feature will be eliminated, automated version will migrate to Google Search in first major update since 2009
  MarketWatch photo illustration
Google Finance will do away with its core portfolio feature in November.
Alphabet Inc. has informed users of its Google Finance product last week that the core of the offering, the portfolio feature, will soon disappear as the stocks-focused product undergoes a transformation that bundles it into Google’s dominant search offering.

The November move will mark the first major change to a languishing product that has existed since 2006 but hasn’t seen an overhaul in more than eight years. To replace the outgoing features, Google said that it plans to migrate users’ portfolios to Google’s search product, which will aim to analyze users’ interests and provide a report for users.

“As part of this updated experience, you’ll still be able to follow the stocks you’re interested in and receive the latest industry news and market trends, but the Portfolios feature will no longer be available as part of the service,” a Google spokeswoman wrote in an emailed statement.

Google Finance portfolios, similar to rival finance-focused products like Yahoo Finance, allow users to track a number of investments over time, including profit or loss calculations based on the purchase price of a security, and to create data visualizations based on the information. Before the mid-November changes, Google has given its users an option to download their portfolio in CSV or OFX format.

Seven Years Without Google in China
It isn’t clear what, if any additional features Google plans to change, or what the Google Finance site will look like after the overhaul is complete. A spokeswoman confirmed that the Google Finance site will remain—in some form—but declined to make executives available to discuss the changes in greater detail.

Spiced Hanger Steak Salad

Seared Patty Pan Squash/Red Onion/Shiitake Mushrooms, Baby Arugula

Urfa bibber chili, roasted cumin, salt and pepper spice rub (made a spice mixture on the fly), let the hanger steak (sliced), along with a little evoo, marinate for about 30ish minutes. A quick sear so not to overcook the steak.

The Urfa bibber is lovely, smoky, earthy, fabulous chili that I should use more often.

Patty pan, red onions, shiitake, all a quick sear in the pan.

Veg, steak, arugula. The juices from the steak pan made a lovely drizzle for the vegetables.

•ITU may give 2018 conference to Africa With a charge on countries including Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Egypt to champion next generation technologies in terms of use and adoption, the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) is hoping to complete all standardisation around the Fifth-Generation (5G) networks by 2019.

ITU Secretary-General, Houlin Zhao, who revealed this on Monday, while declaring open the 2017 edition of the Telecoms World Conference in Busan, South Korea, with the theme: Digital Transformation, Global Opportunity, countries, especially in the African region to brace up for disruptions. He revealed that the world is gradually shifting from 3G; 4G and focus now is on 5G, which he said would make technology stronger.

According to him, the technology, ‘‘5G is not finalised yet. ITU is working to improve its parameters and fix spectrum for it. Though some countries, including Korea, are already test running the technology, the standardisation will be fixed at the Plenary Assembly of Radio Communications Sector by 2019.’’

5G has higher capacity than current 4G, allowing a higher density of mobile broadband users, and supporting device-to-device, ultra reliable, and massive machine communications. Its research and development also aims at lower latency than 4G equipment and lower battery consumption, for better implementation of the Internet of things.

Zhao called on countries to brace up for the next phase of industrial revolution, which is the Fourth, stressing that countries that are not investing will be left behind.Furthermore, Zhao said the global mobile connectivity has hit 95 per cent.Houlin particularly commended Nigeria for aiding the growth of mobile connectivity, stressing that the footprint is seen across Africa and the world at large.

Indeed, checks by The Guardian showed within the space of 16 years, Nigeria’s mobile connection grew from a meagre 400,000 telephone lines offered by the Nigeria Telecommunications Limited (NITEL) to 240 million connected lines, with 138 million functioning as active telephone line as at July 2017. The liberalisation of the telecommunications sector brought in the GSM operators including MTN, Globacom, Airtel and Etisalat.

In his keynote address, the Minister of Communications and Postal Service, South Africa, Dr. Siyabonga Cyprian Cwele, appealed to ITU to give Africa a chance to host the global edition come next year.

Cwele specifically said South Africa was more than ready to host the 2018 edition of ITU Telecom world. He stressed that Africa is on the move, “the Continent remains number one investment destination now and is ready for business.”He disclosed that South Africa, like other advanced countries has what it takes to host the global event.

Responding, Houlin, who queried while Nigeria is not showing interest in hosting the conference, said hosting next edition in Africa will not be a bad thing, stressing that the prospect is there, “as the region has remain dynamic in the last one year and has witnessed more development in technology related areas than other regions.

“The possibility is high for Africa to host. But it is not a decision I can make alone. The secretariat would consider the offer and communicate back to South Africa,” he stated.

This can lead to conditions like hyponatremia, as the unprocessed water amount gets converted into sodium. When this condition arises, the cells also become stretchy that can invite many serious health problems.

So, are you having a habit of drinking water on an empty stomach! If no, start right from the next day for a healthy future.

The Risk Factors Contributing Towards Child Hood Obesity

Today’s lifestyle issues of having too many calories in the form of food and drinks and too little activity are the major contributors but apart from this, genetics and hormones also play an important role.

1. Genetic Factors

There is evidence that genetic inheritance influences the chances being fat. Within the family, if one of the parents is obese, there are 40% chances of a child becoming fat and if both the parents are obese, there are 80% chances and 7% chances if none of them are obese.

2. Psychological Factors

Parental, personal and family stress tends to increase the childhood obesity. Sometimes the child tends to overeat to overcome stress or to fight boredom. Kids tend to sometimes ape what parents do. Hence there is a possibility that the parents may be also doing the same thing in order to cope stress.

3. Environmental Factors

Watching television is the strongest predictor of childhood obesity. On an average, a child spends about 20 to 30 hours per week in front of TV. The more time the child spends before the TV, computer or video games, the less time he or she will get to involve more actively. Apart from that, television commercials promote eating and highly processed snacks that are calorie dense and high in sugar and fat thus influencing the kids snack preference.

4. Dietary Factors

Kids are getting easily accessible to high-calorie foods like fast foods, baked goods and vending machine snacks can cause weight gain. To add to the fire, high sugary foods like candy and desserts and sugary fruit drinks are culprits to weight gain in kids.

Complications Occurring Due To Childhood Obesity

Childhood obesity can have complications in various aspects like the physical, mental and emotional well-being.
  • Obesity and the sedentary lifestyle increase the risk of type 2 diabetes.
  • The poor diet increases the chances of the child developing either high blood pressure or high cholesterol or both.
  • Overweight or obese kids have greater chances of developing asthma.
  • Obstructive sleep apnea has been the debilitating issue in kids where the breathing stops and starts repeatedly during sleep.
  • Kids tend to develop metabolic syndrome where the child can develop a cluster of conditions like heart disease, high triglyceride levels, low HDL levels, high blood sugar and increased abdominal fat.
Hence obesity is not only the alarming situation for adults but also it can affect the kids badly and negatively causing various conditions that can adversely affect life. Apart from physical complication, kids also tend to suffer from low self-esteem as they are mostly bullied by their peers leading to getting cut out and having poorer social skills. Low self-esteem leads to the feeling of hopelessness among kids who are overweight.

  • Parents play an important role and teach good eating habits to kids by setting a good example in their eating behavior.
  • Prevention of obesity begins early with careful supervision of feeding of infants and children. Effective nutritional counseling to mothers at the earliest can correct the problem. Overfeeding in infancy may show the mother’s inability to differentiate between fussiness and hunger in infants.
  • It’s the parents who buy food, cook meals and decide what to eat for kids. Then, in that case, Stop depending on high caloric foods like cakes, cookies and fast foods that are heavy in sugar, fats and calories. Make a point to prepare healthy snacks.
  • Limit the intake of sweetened beverages or fruit drink concentrates. Instead encourage your child to drink ample amount of water, fresh fruit milkshakes or smoothies that can improve the satiety value and provide nutrients.
  • Do not overfeed the child. Children do not eat as much as adults. Its Ok if some times the child leave the food in the plate. Limit on the portion size when you go out to eat as the portion size of the restaurant is oversized.
  • Encourage meals as a family affair time to share day to day news and family conversation. Discourage eating in front of TV or computer and video games which can lower the awareness and result in eating fast without concentrating on the food.
Apart from healthy diet, physical activity also plays an important role in maintaining the healthy weight. An active child tends to become a fit adult.

Physical Activity

Physical activity done in kids tend to burn calories, strengthen bones and muscles and stay active during the day and have a good night sleep in the night.
  • Allow the kids to be moving and active. Kids may not prefer structured exercise program wherein they have to run on the tread mill or weight training. It is preferable for the kids to get involved in play activities like hide and seek, tug of war and skipping rope. These activities are fun to play and also suitable for improving fitness and burning calories.
  • Limit TV and recreational computer time by encouraging the kids to get involved in activities. Kids also can join classes like football classes or cricket class or swimming which can make them fit.
  • Even parents can actively be involved in kids activities. If the kids love to go for hike and for nature activities, parents should also accompany the kids and bike riding where the parents can go for long ride thus making the experience interesting and exciting.
Medications and surgery are considered to be last option if the increase in weight in kids is actually affecting their health or causing adverse effects on the body.  However, it is always essential to know that the parents should be equally involved in the development of the kid. If kids have imbibed certain faulty dietary habits from the parents then it is the parents who need to change the habit and control the dietary habits.
