Mayak Fissile Material Storage Facility (FMSF), Russia

In this animation of images, taken by the European Sentinel-2 satellites (https://goo.gl/cZp5kg) in July, August, and September 2017, you can see the Mayak Fissile Material Storage Facility (FMSF, https://goo.gl/EmMGwX) near the city of Ozersk (https://goo.gl/tKxYuV), Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia. Visible is some sort of construction on one, maybe two, of the buildings. Look closely and you can also see the disturbed soil next to the bigger building.

This site and the construction might or might not be related (nobody knows for sure up until now) for the increase in airborne radioactivity in Europe in autumn 2017 (https://goo.gl/CLLvoa), when elevated levels of Ruthenium-106 (https://goo.gl/DWcEQo) were detected. Experts pinpointed the source in the general area of the facility.
