More than coffee, tea is the most consumed beverage in all over the world. While the current rage is about the benefits derived from drinking green tea, black tea has its own die-hard fans, and for good reasons. Green Tea, Black Tea, and white tea no matter comes from same category of shrub, black tea is comparatively more oxidized than its peer groups. For many dark tea is strong in caffeine which has many negative effects on body. It’s important to understand the both benefits and risk of drinking black tea which will help you in long run.

The caffeine content in the Black Tea is very tea which helps in stimulating mental alertness along with sharpen thinking skills.  However, the buzz of the tea can over after few minutes that is why most of the people end up drinking more than one cup throughout the day to be awake for a long time.

Black tea helps in reviving the level of water in the body which results in increasing the flow of urine due to the diuretic property of the tea. It may also help in treat all types of disorders relate to stomach. It also helps in preventing kidney stones.
For majority of the people in the country, caffeine acts as an effective tool to decrease pain in head. Since, caffeine itself can cause headaches. Its gives comfort to some and discomfort to some. Every individual has their own preferences.

Black tea has number of benefits if you do not add any type of sweetener or additives which is a great source of calories. Black tea stimulates metabolism and consequently promotes weight loss effectively. Drinking hot Black tea can temporarily increase the level of blood pressure, preventing dizziness.

Too much consumption of caffeine can lead to many side effects such as nervousness, confusion, irritability, and other problems elated to sleep disorders. Black tea for some can cause heartburn, vomiting diarrhoea, tumours, and high blood pressure.

People with medical conditions like iron deficiency, anxiety problems, bleeding problems, anemia, high blood pressure, and bowel syndrome can get worsen for some if they drink black tea. People with hormone sensitive or going through issue like breast cancer can further effect.

Regularly drinking a caffeinated beverage like black tea can lead to miscarriages, lower birth weights and caffeine withdrawal issues in new-born. Children who are breastfed can also experience adverse reactions from a mother’s consumption of the strong drink including irritability and affected bowel movements.

  1. Causing psychological dependence
Because of the caffeine content, black tea may be addictive. If you drink enough of the beverage, you may develop a psychological dependence of black tea, which can be extremely hard to overcome mentally and physically as well.

  1. Affecting your nutrient absorption
High quantities of black tea can influence your body’s ability to absorb certain nutrients. For example, ingesting too much caffeine can decrease your access to calcium and interfere with your body’s use of vitamin D. In such conditions, your chances of brittle bones and osteoporosis can ultimately increase.
