PERFECT HIDEAWAY IF YOU'RE A LOTHARIO
OR A WALL STREET WOLF: Spend time in this Titanic-sized Palm Springs
mansion and sleep in the same luxurious bed as Leonardo DiCaprio
(Hollywood actor not included). His fully furnished holiday home is
available for £3,000 a night, so you’ll need a wallet to rival the Wolf
of Wall Street. Designed by modernist architect Donald Wexler in 1964,
it is perfect for intimate social gatherings. Lothario Leo has often
enjoyed the company of several ladies at a time and this secluded home
can easily accommodate a crowd in six bedrooms and seven (and a half)
bathrooms. There’s an impressive cocktail bar in the living room,
another by the pool, a grand piano and a sauna.

BRUCE'S VILLA THAT'S TOO HARD TO DIE
FOR: Even action heroes need a spot of down-time, and Die Hard star
Bruce Willis retreated to this ocean-front property in the glorious
Turks and Caicos islands to marry his second wife, model Emma Heming,
below, in 2009. The stunning compound, called The Residence, is the
biggest in the celebrity-strewn Parrot Cay resort. It boasts cool white
furnishings, five bedrooms in the main house, plus two further
three-bedroom guest villas, and a palm-fringed pool. It costs £6,490 a
night – or £45,000 a week – for the whole villa but you do get a butler
to plan your activities, from castaway picnics to some gentle kayaking.

PS ONE CAN VAMP IT UP IN TRANSYLVANIA:
Fancy a spot of vampire-hunting? Then head for Prince Charles’s private
rural retreat in Transylvania, in the heart of Romania. Rather than
pursuing blood sports, however, he hopes guests at the 18th Century
property in Zalan Valley will enjoy the wildflower meadows and local
traditions. Conservationist Charles ensured the home was restored using
traditional methods and materials. It is ideal for walkers and
nature-lovers and up to 14 guests can enjoy the solitude and sleep like a
(future) king for £102 each a night. Garlic not included
