A new partnership expected to bouy Nigeria’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector has been inked by Zinox Technologies Limited, and some foreign technology firms including with Intel Corp., Ashour Corporation, Tecsync Technology Co. Ltd,, and Microsoft.

The partnership, which will be channeled via Zinox Future Visions roadmap, would see the firm diversify into new business areas with products in critical emerging sectors, including robotics, AI, healthy living, core ICT, Internet of Things, Medicine, FMCG, entertainment, education, among others.

According to the Chairman, Zinox Group, Leo Stan Ekeh, “As the world is shrinking at an unprecedented pace as a result of the impacts of new technologies, new audiences are emerging with a demand to consume new products. The Zinox Future Visions mandate, therefore, is to anticipate where the world is headed and be ready with the right products and solutions.

“With a strong, young Research and Development team with an average age of 28 except myself, the Group has the requisite human capital/resources, financial muscle, carrying capacity, industry-knowledge, street-smartness with credible global partnerships to further diversify into hitherto-uncharted territories and take dominance of these areas.”

Ekeh described the partnership with the foreign firms on the new products as a fitting pointer to the commitment to deliver genuine quality products that can rival any in the world.

“We have designed a number of new technology products that will meet the needs of a dynamic audience. These include new gadgets for tech-savvy youths and business executives as well as tablets for kids. It is important to understand that our young kids are precocious and more exposed these days. Also, technology is moving at a very rapid pace so we need to provide tailor-made products for this emerging generation of kids as well.

“By partnering with Intel, Ashour Corporation, Tecsync Technology and Microsoft on the roll-out of these new products, we have once again restated our commitment to world-class quality in line with our time-honoured tradition of reliability as these tech firms are renowned world-wide for their research-focused approach to product development and production,” he said.

Among the first set of products to be launched under the Zinox Future Visions is the GTX laptop: the world’s smallest laptop and the Kids Legacy Tab, a device targeted at kids between the ages of three to 13 who would have the critical foundation to lead in their chosen fields in future.

For the Kids Legacy Tab, the firm explained that parents and care-givers will find a fitting device with which to introduce their children to technology and new vistas of learning. In addition to a Device Manager to enable parents monitor content, the tablet is pre-loaded with over 50 Educational and Fun Games and rated as knowledge luxury platform for kids.

Both products will complement the new 8-inch Zpad and will see an expansion of the scope of offerings in Zinox’s mobile devices products suite.

While Ashour Corporation is well-known as a leading provider of managed Satellite network communication solutions and IT equipment in Middle East & Africa Region including system integration, system products and network services; Tecsync Technology Co. Ltd. is a major consumer electronics brand which has acquired worldwide reckoning for an ambitious geographic expansion which has fuelled its rapid growth and strong presence in the Middle East and African markets – a strategy that has seen its major brand InnJoo rise to become the fastest-growing smart devices brand in key markets such as Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Egypt and the Emerging Markets of Middle East and Africa.
