Spiced Chicken Livers with Date Butter


On Toast, Roasted Mixed Radishes

I know this is not everyone's cup of tea. Personally, OMG, so yummy!!!

After being pointed in the right direction by +Jenn Camforth, I decided to give the roasted radishes a go. A moment ago I just reread the recipe/technique and realized I didn't cut the radishes in half. Oh well, I have more, I will do this again. Still delish, I was craving a tang to go with the radishes, I think they might get drizzled with a little vinegar next time.


The chicken livers, oi!!! Sauteed, added roasted cumin, fresh rosemary and garlic. Finished with a compound date butter. This will be explored more as yesterday at the market yielded all sorts of goodies.


I know I"m a little off the beaten path when I received the biggest thrill when I discovered fresh chicken skin (schmaltz here I come), duck innards and chicken livers. All fresh, all amazing and mine!!!!


I'm so making schmaltz and gribenes today!!!! I'm so excited!!!
