The selling point though is the embedded S-Pen with improved pressure sensitivity and a ballpoint pen writing experience. It borrows many of the features of the Note series of phones and tablets with writing, drawing, editing, translating and defining words, taking screenshots, and even GIF creating.
The updated Tab A 10.1" with S-Pen will be available only in a WiFi variant starting October 28 at select retailers in the US including Samsung's own online store. It will be priced at $349.99.
